Generally Saturday i wont woke up early as its always late for go to sleep on Friday, but today woke up early and did some pending small small works and found time for to watch Raavan.
now a days, every film is making so much hype and expectation and creating a market before its to hitting theaters.
Raavan also no exception.
it is in the news for, Mani ratnam as director, Ash-Abhi combination, Crazy title,
and Ramayanam Inspiration or adaptation.
so what is all this Raavan??
Raavan , a Maniratnam interpretation of Epic Ramayanam.
Like Ramayanam , here also we have characters like Rama,Seeta,Raavan,Hanuman, Surphanaka,Laxman and Vibishan.
Raavan kidnaps Seeta, not that he has feelings for seeta.
its for to take revenge on rama who shown disrespect to surphanaka and very much misbehaved .
here, Raavan interest is not seeta anymore.
like same, surprisingly,Rama's interest also not seeta.
general perception is that, rama fights with raavan for seeta.
but i dont think so..
Rama fights with Raavan to just show his heroism, just for namesake or glory.
if he truly fights for seeta, then there is no question of having doubt on seeta.
before start of fight or while the preparations are happening for a war he very well know that, its has been a long time that seeta is with Raavan (means under his custody).
May be we can think like this,
Raavan did a crime by abducting seeta so he has to be punished.
Rama dont want seeta back as she is with Raavan for longtime.
but what about punishment for raavan?
Rama has a chance and right to take fight with raavan and punish him , so he did the justice.
but in this all process, sita is the sufferer..
as she did no harm to anyone by herself , but she has to take result for others actions.
so, what is the justice to Seeta here??
if i am the author of 'Ramayan' or script writer for 'Raavan ' movie, what i have to do with Seeta Character at the end??
i came to one conclusion that, in the fight of' evil vs good ' some people has to lost their life and some people may lost their identity and some people has to lead a miserable life..,
its like this, army of Raavan are not the reason for sita kidnap but they lost their life in war. like sita is not the reason for what happened to surphanaka but she has to take results of that.
if Raavan did a crime by kidnapping seeta then Rama also did a crime by doubting her and sending her forests alone.
but there is punishment for Raavan , where for rama??
May be the same point attarctes Manirantan to make a film and portray the characters..
he did a good job by selecting right cast and extracting great performance form lead cast.
Raavan is great in terms of Photography work,Music and Performance but it fails to provide the entertainment as a wholesome.
here entertainment doesn't mean that the film should have some comedy track .
its like convincing spectator to what a director withstands.
like me, Mani ratnam also shows sympathy on raavan and he shows sita also understood raavan's character and will make a positive impression on him.
so, the question is Raavan Hero or Villian ??????????
